Dr Jayne Thompson

Dr Jayne Thompson’s role is to liaise with customers to ensure Horizon’s quantum software suite meets end-users’ needs and identify key areas of growth for such platforms in the quantum software market.

She is an expert in quantum algorithms, with specific interests in the application of quantum technologies to areas such as designing interactive agents, stochastic simulation and time series analysis.

Jayne joined us from Singapore’s Centre for Quantum Technologies. She has 8 years’ experience working as a research fellow in quantum computing and quantum information, following her PhD in theoretical physics (awarded 2012 by the University of Melbourne). Outside work, Jayne loves to travel and really enjoys running outdoors and exploring new places.
